Renting a Property through Mi Home

At Mi Home Estate Agents, we offer a wide range of properties to rent in Kirkham, Preston, and the surrounding PR4 areas. Once you have found a property we will guide you through the referencing process. At Mi Home Estate Agents we pride ourselves on being upfront with our processes.

We use an external company called Rentshield Direct to carry out our reference checks, and we will need to provide them with your email address so they can send the application form out to you. Each person over the age of 18 who is to reside in the property will need to fill in an application form to allow us to carry out the necessary reference and credit checks. Confirmation of your employment, salary, financial situation and character is required to determine whether you are a suitable tenant. You can help speed up the process by contacting your referees to inform them Rentshield Direct will be contacting them.

As part of the government rulings on Immigration we have to see evidence that you are legally able to live in this country. For this we need to see an original copy of your passport or another EEA relevant document. If do not have a passport, please contact us as there are other documents that can be used.

Rent is payable in advance. The initial rent and deposit must be paid via bank transfer. Bank transfers must have cleared in our account before the day of move in.

Tenants should consider the need to obtain sufficient Contents insurance to cover your own possessions. The Landlord is not responsible for insuring any of a Tenant’s personal possesions, and would not be liable should there be any damage under any circumstances. We can provide information on Contents cover and Accidental Damage cover.

Our initial Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements are for 6 months. After this initial period a rolling lease is provided FREE OF CHARGE.
